Presenting for internal consultants

Whether we like it or not, how you say something can be as important as what you say. As an internal consultant, if your recommendations are to be accepted you need to present with clarity, impact and passion.

The key themes of our module are:

• YOU are the presentation
• give the audience 'hooks' on which to hang your content
• emphasise your critical points through gestures, visual cues, use of space and voice
• avoid text and bullet points in PowerPoint - you are the words; PowerPoint is for visual impact
• be passionate
• use metaphors and narrative to engage your audience and make your message memorable
• match your presentation content and style to your audience

This is a very practical course; just as with swimming, the best way to learn is by doing. We use video so that you can observe yourself presenting - for many participants this is much more powerful than receiving feedback from others.
